Our Future Green

Every Drop Counts
Underneath the Lower Level car park lie rain water tanks that can capture up to 1.2 million litres of water. This water is treated and reused to supply most toilets, Centre irrigation and is used in the cooling towers for the Centre's air conditioning. Air conditioning cooling towers can use up to 4,000 kilolitres of water per day in the hot Australian summer which demonstrates just how much drinking water Campbelltown Mall can save in the hotter months with this initiative.

Saving Energy
We are sensitive to reducing our carbon footprint! Campbelltown Mall is GreenPower accredited! 10% of all Campbelltown Mall's power supply comes from renewable energy such as wind power, hydro and biomass, producing no net greenhouse gas emissions. We are also aware of our heat absorption! Part of our roof is painted with a heat reflective paint. This reduces the heat absorbed into the building, lowering our heat load. With a lower heat load, our air conditioner operates efficiently, reducing our electricity use and demand on the electricity grid.

We Encourage Green Transport
Campbelltown Mall support all those who support the environment! Secure bike racks are installed at all mall entrances, encouraging the use of bicycles as transport. Campbelltown Mall also lobbies often to the local council for upgrades to the nearby bus shelters to encourage the use of public transport by providing pleasant infrastructure.

Further Recycling...
Did you know that Campbelltown Mall even recycles discarded oil? Any oil from our retailers that is no longer required for use is captured and recycled into biofuel.
